Private Equity
Bridgehouse Partners acts for private equity investors, small corporate funds, business partners and management teams. In continuing to act for both investors and those raising funds, we understand the needs of all parties to any transaction and we deal with our client’s requirements in a commercial fashion.
Mergers and Acquisition
We have been involved in a range of transactions from relatively straightforward acquisitions of small companies to some very complex high value deals, to all of which we dedicate the same enthusiasm and commitment. We remain content working with start-ups and with small businesses as well as multi-national companies.
Commercial Real Estate
We provide a full range of real estate advice that includes restructuring, refinancing, acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant and development issues. We have acted on acquisitions and disposal of real estate with a value of approximately £1bn since incorporation and continue to provide active management services to a number of property portfolios valued in excess of £100m.
We have particular experience and expertise in the acquisition, management and disposal of technical real estate both within the UK and across Europe. Despite our size, Bridgehouse can be considered a leading firm in this field.
In the last twelve months we have taken a leading role in all aspects of significant commercial property developments in Qatar.
Technology, Media and Telecommunication
The firm provides general commercial advice to all of our client companies in a range of TMT sectors. We have particular recognition in respect of data centres, having acted for a number of different operators since this niche sector of real estate became a respected asset class.
Finance and Restructuring
We regularly advise on all aspects of funding and finance both ancillary to our clients’ transactional work and on a stand alone basis. Our corporate experience combined with our finance expertise has also enabled us to be intricately involved in several high-value restructure projects of companies and corporate groups.
Dispute Resolution
Our expertise and experience enables us to provide advice on a wide spectrum of commercial dispute resolution areas. We are regularly involved in matters relating to contractual and property disputes, finance, banking and insurance issues, construction disputes, professional negligence, insolvency, corporate and shareholder matters.
We are experienced in all methods of litigation and 'alternative dispute resolution'. We always attempt to tailor our services to provide a cost effective and flexible solution to any client's particular needs and will, where appropriate, operate on a conditional fee basis.
We have recently represented client in the Court of Appeal in the matter of Barclays Bank v Guy [2008] EWHC 893 (Ch) that raised important issues over the rectification of the register at HMLR in cases of mortgage fraud and chargee’s power of sale and in the matter of Guy v Pannone LLP regarding issue of conflict and solicitor’s negligence. Finally, Bridgehouse has appeared in the High Court in the matter of The Queen (on the application of Cityhook Ltd and others) v OFT [2009]EWHC 57 (Admin).
We also recently acted in advising a major firm of insolvency practitioners in a high value cross-border insolvency matter involving securing and realizing assets in foreign jurisdictions.
